Fine Art, Fountain Pen Engineering and Coordinating Ink

Inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s iconic 1889 painting The Starry Night, the Monteverde USA® MP1 Fine Art Series Starry Night Numbered Edition transforms Monteverde’s first piston-fill fountain pen into a functional work of art.

Each individually numbered pen captures the painting’s swirling blues, luminous yellows and expressive movement through an advanced high-resolution, multi-stage printing process reproduced across a stainless-steel cap. A coordinating lightweight aluminum blind cap completes the design, while the transparent resin body provides a clear view of the generous 2 ml polycarbonate ink reservoir and Monteverde’s innovative Lock-It™ piston filling system.

Writing performance is delivered by a German-made #6 JoWo stainless-steel fountain pen nib, available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub and Omniflex. A plasma-treated feed is designed to reduce skipping and blotting while supporting smooth, consistent ink flow.

This special set pairs the MP1 Starry Night fountain pen with a 15 ml bottle of blue fountain pen ink, creating a coordinated writing set for fountain pen users, collectors, art enthusiasts and gift giving.

Assembled at Monteverde headquarters in California, USA, the MP1 Starry Night combines fine art, precision engineering and everyday writing performance in one individually numbered writing instrument.
